Bill Bailey 04:16
Won't you come home, Bill Bailey? Won't you come home? She moans the whole day long. I'll do the cooking darling, I'll pay the rent. I know I've done you wrong. 'Member that rainy evening, I threw you out? With nothin' but a fine-tooth comb? I know I'm not to blame, Well, ain't that a shame. Well, Bill Bailey, won't you please come home? 'Member that rainy evening, I threw you out? With nothin' but a fine-tooth comb? I know I'm not to blame, Well, ain't that a shame. Well, Bill Bailey, won't you please come home?

Old rockin' chair's got me, Cane by my side. Fetch me that gin, son, Before I tan your hide. I can't get from this cabin. I'm going nowhere. Just sit me here grabbin', at the flies 'round this rocking chair. My dear old Aunt Harriet, In Heaven, she be. Oh, send me, sweet chariot, For the end of the trouble I see. Old rockin' chair's got me, And Judgement Day is near. I know 'cause I'm, Chained to my old rockin' chair. Old rockin' chair's got me, And Judgement Day is near. I know 'cause I'm, Chained to my old rockin' chair.

Grab your coat and get your hat. Leave your worries on the doorstep. Just direct your feet, To the sunny side of the street. Can't you hear that pitter-pat, And that happy beat in your step? Life can be so sweet, On the sunny side of the street. I use to walk in the shade, With those blues on parade, But I'm not afraid. Well, this rover done crossed over. If I never have a cent, I'll be rich as Rockefeller. Gold dust at my feet, On the sunny side of the street. I use to walk in the shade, With those blues on parade, But I'm not afraid. Well, I found a four-leaf clover, And I'm hoping to cross over. If I never have a cent, I'll be rich as Rockefeller. Gold dust at my feet, On the sunny, the sunny, it's the sunny, Side of the street.
